For Family & Caregivers

Sometimes healing takes another set of hands.

Major procedures can turn a skin condition into a family experience. Practical help, patience and simply taking the person's discomfort seriously can matter.

Before treatment

Help organize questions, transportation, supplies and follow-up plans if the person wants that support.

During recovery

Follow the clinical team's wound-care instructions exactly. Don't substitute internet advice for the postoperative plan.

Listen without minimizing

Visible scarring, pain and repeated treatment can carry an emotional burden that isn't obvious from the outside.

Know your role

A caregiver can support decisions without taking them over. The person living with the condition remains at the center of their care.
